The Important Watches auction organized by Artcurial featured an exclusive selection of 168 pieces from the best watch brands chosen for their condition, rarity and quality. Total sale including expenses : 1 838 750 $ USD, selling nearly 80% of the lots presented.
BEST RESULTS
Lot 160 : Rolex ref. 5514 / 551, n° 5228421, Submariner “Comex 883” model, stainless steel automatic diver’s wristwatch, delivered to Comex, Marseille, sold for 123 042 $ USD.
Lot 144 : Patek Philippe ref. 3700/1, n° 1305357, Nautilus “Jumbo” model, stainless steel “Jumbo” automatic wristwatch, integrated bracelet with deployant clasp signed, sold for 112 909 $ USD.
BEST PERFORMANCES
Lot 57 : Moricand & Degrange, Genève, gold pocket watch with quarter repeater, or 1 142% variation between the low estimate and the final result (8 299 $ USD).
Lot 135 : Jaeger-Lecoultre ref. 3.227.010.4, modèle Atmos, silver metal atmospheric clock with calendar and moon phases indication, with original packaging, limited edition to 50 ex, n° 19/50, or 750% variation between the low estimate and the final result (28 394 $ USD).
Lot 169 : Audemars Piguet, n° 38636, 18k rose gold with triple calendar and moon phases indication, or 518% variation between the low estimate and the final result (55 007 $ USD).

On the second step of the podium, with a watch above 100 000 $ USD, average per lot 24 525 $ USD. A result based on the highest bid of the sale with lot 160.
Audemars Piguet
On the third step of the podium, with a watch passing the $60,000 USD mark, average per lot 39 986 $ USD.
These three brands represent total proceeds of 1 074 369 $ USD, or nearly 60% of total sales.
AVERAGE PRICE PER LOT
Considering the number of lots, 168 in total, including 35 unsold lots, the average price of one lot was 13 825 $ USD.
